David Pope and his students from Jacob Hespeler Secondary School demonstrating their robot "Twitch" built by his students in 6 weeks to compete in the FIRST Robotics competition. They will also talk about the FIRST Robotics challenge.

We had 32 members enjoy dinner at the Stone Crock.
Then on to the tour.
Home Hardware Tour 003 HH Distribution Centre, approximately 1.5 million square feet under roof.
Home Hardware Tour 004 If I remember correctly, these rows of racking are 650 feet long and there are rows and rows. Close to 100,000 pallet slots for picking and storage. Home Hardware Tour 005 Another storage area. Currently at the centre there are approximately 62,000 sku items valued at $95 to $100 million.
Home Hardware Tour 006 The filled orders are now on their way to be loaded in trucks.
With 65 drivers and 250 highway trailers they drive equivalent to more than 300 trips around the world each year.
Home Hardware Tour 008 Lift truck battery charging room. Batteries are recharged every 8 hour shift.
