Home Hardware Distribution Centre Tour October 7 2009We had 32 members enjoy dinner at the Stone Crock. Then on to the tour. |
HH Distribution Centre, approximately 1.5 million square feet under roof.

If I remember correctly, these rows of racking are 650 feet long and there are rows and rows. Close to 100,000 pallet slots for picking and storage.
|
Another storage area. Currently at the centre there are approximately 62,000 sku items valued at $95 to $100 million.
|
The filled orders are now on their way to be loaded in trucks.With 65 drivers and 250 highway trailers they drive equivalent to more than 300 trips around the world each year. |
Lift truck battery charging room. Batteries are recharged every 8 hour shift.
